BURNING WOOD ON BLACK MARBLE

Dining table with a combination of marble and wood

Mexico based design studio EWE is a perfect mix of old artisanal expertise, modern manufacturing techniques and innovative language of execution.

Humo of the Alquimia Collection is part of a limited edition of just 10 pieces. Through the Alquimia Collection EWE “celebrates uncertainty and ambiguity, while trusting an intuition for experimenting with shape, materiality, balance and fire”.

The table stands on a black marble stone from Orizaba, while the wooden countertop is altered through fire generating fascinating textures and a distinguished depth of color which makes each piece one of a kind.

Humo gives a raw feel but at the same time makes the product look extremely refined and complete in itself. EWE gave magic to the piece with a perfect balance between raw, natural elements and the finest man made shapes.
